Hand drawn portraits of people and pets

A passion for drawing is the only way I can describe my work. After learning how, I have not been able to put the pencil down. Graphite gives me the freedom to bring pictures to life and it is what I love to do. I strive to achieve realisim in my portraits, while generating my own style.

Each portrait is drawn by hand on high quality Bristol board and protected with a fixative which prevents smudging and yellowing. Drawing can take anywhere from 40 to 60 hours to complete. When I hear that tears come to the eyes of my clients when first looking at their new portrait, I know my long hours of work have been well worth it.
I have been married 8 years and we have 2 beautiful little girls, who inspire many of my drawings.
